A survey claims that Excessive stress of COVID-19 causes hair loss for COVID recovered patients as well as normal people. The survey was done by Dr Natalie Lambert from Indiana University School of Medicine. The survey also claims that hair loss is a major symptom found while diagnosing the disease.
The COVID-19 outburst occurred 9 months before on early December 2019, Since then the deadly virus got spread worldwide within a few months. Total no of active cases worldwide is 20.6 Million, in which 12.8 Million have recovered and 749K deaths have been reported.
Researchers worldwide are trying to find a cure, A report says that Hair loss is a top symptom of Covid-19 same as nausea and congested nose.

Survey reports on the stress of Covid-19 for Hair loss
After Ongoing research done by Scientist, They found that temporary Hair loss can be triggered in the body. This goes for both recovered patients as well as non affected people. A survey conducted by Dr Natalie Lambert from Indiana University School of Medicine said Hair loss is top symptoms of Covid-19 because many patients faced a severe hair loss after being treated with medications for Coronavirus. The survey was done on 1500 recovered patients and many of them reported hair loss a major symptom rather than Nausea and congested nose.
Those who’re facing symptoms after being recovered by Coronavirus treatment are called as Long Haulers.
Long Haulers are basically those who are not fully recovered and still dealing with symptoms of COVID-19.
Is the stress of COVID-19 main reason for hair loss?
Stress is the major cause of hair loss for whatever reason it may be for. But thinking more and more of getting infected through coronavirus can make you feel low. Getting threatened for a particular thing causes stress. Trauma, shock and sickness are the extreme reason for the increase in Stress in Human body.

Feeling threatened from a particular thing enables our nervous system by releasing a flow of stress hormones, adrenaline and cortisol. Which triggers our brain for emergency action. We can’t say this disease is the only reason for the Hair loss, Lack of nutrition, deficiency of iron and excessive consumption of Junk food are some of the major reasons for hair loss.
How to control stress and hair loss
The only way to control stress is to stop thinking negatively on anything and keep yourselves busy in any activity that you love. Make your own customised diet which includes a good amount of nutrients and follow a workout routine.
